Robert Newman - President
Robert Newman serves as President of Hestia Mortgage and has overall leadership responsibility for Hestia Mortgage. Specifically, he oversees our strategic planning, business development and industry partnerships.
Mr. Newman has 20 years of senior management and leadership experience in the public, private and nonprofit sectors, including the areas of strategic planning, business development, customer service, financial management, information technology, organization development, human resources, facilities management and grant management. He has also taught and implemented CQI/TQM processes.
Mr. Newman holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Fordham University and a master's degree in business administration from Pace University. He has received recognition as an Accredited Mortgage Professional from the Mortgage Bankers Association. He is a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, Mortgage Bankers Association, the NAACP, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He has published two reports: A Matter of Money: The Cost and Financing of Youth Development and Foundations for the Future: Leadership Development for Young Men of Color. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two daughters.
